BUKU ABEL - Natural Landrace - Ethiopia
BUKU ABEL - Natural Landrace - Ethiopia
ROAST DATE 5/12
"A big fruit bomb from the Buku washing station operated by Esayas Bareso, representing one of the highest coffee producing altitudes we have come across. Local Landrace varietals are harvested and sorted by hand before being dried on raised beds. The cherries are turned frequently to control fermentation. The final cup is intensely fruity, sweet and aromatic with an ice cream like mouthfeel.

Esayas Bareso
This coffee was produced by smallholder producers in the Buku village, and was processed at the Buku washing station operated by Esayas Bareso.
Working closely with SNAP Coffee based in Addis Adeba, Esays and the smallholder farmers have a reliable network of support and know-how to produce amazing high quality lots.
Natural Fermentation
Cherries are handpicked at peak ripeness and hand sorted at the washing station. The sorted cherries are dried in thin layers on African raised beds where they are frequently turned to avoid unwanted funky flavours. The final cup profile is bold and intensely fruity, clean distinct.
We fell in love with this coffee rigth from the start. The intense notes of blackberry is backed up with sweet notes of guava and fragrant like vanilla and white flowers.
This coffee is perfectly enjoyed as black filter and pairs well with milk.
