"This lot originates from the island of Mushungwe, which sits above the Lake Kivu. The combination of steady winds and the sheltered, low-lying valleys between the steep hills provides an ideal microclimate for growing high-quality coffee.
The coffee is handpicked and traditionally washed to remove the fruit, then dried on raised beds for 30 days, allowing for an even, slow drying process. The result is a cup that is wonderfully juicy, crisp and clean with a tea-like character that’s characteristic of the region.
